Organizations are gearing up to revamp their talent strategies significantly within the next two years, as per Deloitte AI Institute’s recent findings. About 75% of surveyed firms are planning to modify work processes and heavily invest in upskilling and reskilling initiatives to cope with AI-driven changes. This strategic shift aims to mitigate the job displacement effects caused by emerging AI technologies by preparing employees for new roles. The report, which surveyed nearly 2,000 executives experienced with AI implementations, also highlighted an increased organizational trust in AI, with 72% of respondents acknowledging this rise since generative AI’s emergence in late 2022. Despite the potential for AI to displace jobs, the report echoes a broader industry perspective that AI could also create opportunities, projecting the creation of 97 million new jobs while displacing 85 million worldwide over the next five years.
