Chinese business leaders are significantly gearing up to increase their investments in generative artificial intelligence in 2024, recognizing it as a pivotal tool for enhancing human-centric innovations and transforming commerce. A survey by Accenture reveals that 85% of executives plan to boost AI investments, focusing on strengthening digital core capacities like cloud services, AI, platforms, and security. Despite the enthusiasm, only 13% feel extremely confident in their current data strategies to fully leverage AI benefits. Moreover, while 70% of organizations are integrating advanced tools like generative AI to improve productivity, less than a third are actively reskilling their workforce to adapt to these technologies. This raises concerns about the readiness of businesses to fully capitalize on AI capabilities, highlighting a gap between technological adoption and workforce development.
