Nader El Biblawi, Chairman of the Egypt Travel Agent Association (ETAA), advocates for the continued importance of traditional tour operators over artificial intelligence to provide secure and enriching travel experiences. In an interview at the Riyadh Travel Fair 2024, El Biblawi highlighted the deep-rooted connections between Egypt and the Saudi market, emphasizing the personal touch and expertise offered by professional Destination Management Companies (DMCs). He underscored the significance of the GCC market, particularly Saudi Arabia, for inbound tourism to Egypt, noting the historical ties and the sense of security and comfort that Saudi tourists feel in Egypt. El Biblawi also promoted Egypt’s North Coast, referred to as the Egyptian Riviera, as a new and attractive destination for Saudi travelers, offering luxury resorts, pristine beaches, and vibrant nightlife. His message to Saudi tour operators and travelers is clear: relying on DMCs ensures a superior, secure, and seamless travel experience compared to self-initiated or AI-driven tools. The Riyadh Travel Fair 2024 serves as a vital platform for enhancing regional connectivity and fostering international tourism, highlighting the dynamic growth of the travel and hospitality industry in the GCC region.
