Amazon has joined the ranks of software vendors offering free product training to accelerate adoption, increase usage, and build a positive reputation. The tech giant has extended its free training initiative to include its AI Ready program, aiming to train at least two million people on AI skills by 2025. With over 600 courses, including more than 100 free AI courses, Amazon is providing developers and business users with the necessary skills to work efficiently with its generative AI assistant, Amazon Q. While the free training is a marketing push to familiarize people with Amazon Q, analysts believe that the training has inherent value regardless of whether the learner is an AWS user. The move is part of a larger trend, with other major tech vendors like Microsoft, Google, and Salesforce offering similar certification programs. As the demand for AI skills continues to grow, Amazon’s initiative is a step in the right direction, providing individuals with the necessary skills to thrive in an increasingly AI-driven workforce.
