As artificial intelligence (AI) rapidly integrates into the workplace, Spokeo conducted a survey to gauge professionals’ perspectives on this transformative technology. The survey, involving 1,027 respondents, revealed mixed feelings about AI’s role in various industries. While 74.8% of participants expressed concerns about AI’s impact, 78.1% believed AI could significantly reduce job-related stress. The data showed that younger workers (18-24) were less worried (66%) about AI compared to older workers (65+) who showed higher concern (80.8%). Interestingly, 66.6% of respondents thought AI could perform their current job, yet many felt confident they could outperform AI in most skills except data analysis and time management. On a positive note, 76.7% of those surveyed believed AI could shorten the workweek, potentially leading to a three-and-a-half-day workweek. Moreover, 79.1% of respondents advocated for employer-provided AI training. The study underscores the duality of AI in the workplace—while it brings potential stress relief and productivity boosts, it also raises significant concerns about job security and industry impacts.
