Picsart, supported by SoftBank, teams up with Getty Images to create a custom AI model for generating responsible, licensed images on its platform. The model, built from scratch and exclusively trained on Getty Images’ licensed content, is set to give Picsart’s 150 million users—including creators, marketers, and small businesses—the ability to produce unique, commercially-usable images. This collaboration aims to address the growing concerns around AI-generated content and copyright issues. Users will also be able to utilize Picsart’s suite of editing tools to further customize these AI-generated assets. The initiative is spearheaded by Picsart’s AI lab, PAIR, and will be accessible via the company’s API services. Additionally, Getty Images video content will be integrated into Picsart’s platform for Plus members. This partnership follows Getty Images’ previous collaborations with other AI startups like Bria and Runway, reinforcing its commitment to responsible AI imagery. The new model is set to launch later this year.
