Zeta Labs, a London-based startup founded by former Meta engineers Fryderyk Wiatrowski and Peter Albert, has launched Jace, an advanced AI agent capable of executing in-browser actions on command. The company secured $2.9 million in a pre-seed funding round, led by former Y Combinator head of AI Daniel Gross and ex-GitHub CEO Nat Friedman. Unlike other AI agents, Jace promises a hands-free experience, allowing users to simply instruct the AI on the task to be done. From booking hotels to managing inventory and launching ad campaigns, Jace handles it all in the browser. The AI agent operates using a blend of a leading language model for chat-based interactions and Zeta Labs’ proprietary Autonomous Web Agent-1 (AWA-1) model for executing browser actions. The company aims to refine and enhance Jace’s capabilities with the pre-seed funding, targeting a subscription-based monetization model for consumers and small businesses. The offering will cater to sectors like recruiting, ecommerce, marketing, and sales, automating repetitive tasks and significantly boosting efficiency.
