Mississippi State University is taking a bold step into the future with the introduction of a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence degree program, starting this Fall semester. This innovative program is designed to prepare students for specialized positions in the rapidly growing field of AI, combining elements of computer science, humanities, ethics, cognitive science, and more. The program will offer hands-on experience, and students will have the opportunity to minor in AI technology or take elective classes on the topic. According to Shahram Rahimi, Head of the Computer Science and Engineering Department, this program is a game-changer for the state of Mississippi, aiming to bring development and high-paying jobs to the region.
