The increasing adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in various industries has led to a surge in demand for AI professionals, resulting in salaries soaring by 40-80% compared to traditional IT roles. According to experts and staffing firms, roles such as AI research scientists, AI marketing specialists, and cybersecurity AI specialists are highly sought after. With over 45,000 AI-related job openings in India currently, companies are willing to pay hefty salaries for AI talent, recognizing the need to rapidly adopt AI in their daily operations. However, there is a significant demand-supply gap, with India requiring an additional 600,000 professionals to meet the demand. While AI takes over repetitive jobs, it frees up human potential to do other value-added and creative jobs, and new roles such as AI instructors, AI trainers, and AI ethics specialists will emerge.
