IRONSCALES has recently made available a phishing simulation tool that leverages generative artificial intelligence (AI) to enable cybersecurity teams to create up to 2,000 simulations of a spear phishing attack in under an hour. This platform provides a set of templates and streamlined workflows for setting up phishing campaigns using large language models (LLMs) that the company has trained. The tool is designed to help cybersecurity teams prepare for the increasing threat of phishing attacks fueled by generative AI. IRONSCALES CEO Eyal Benishti emphasizes that as cybercriminals begin to use generative AI tools to launch more sophisticated phishing attacks, cybersecurity teams need to fight fire with fire by utilizing similar tools to stay ahead. The tool’s ability to create a large number of simulations in a short amount of time will enable cybersecurity teams to train employees more effectively and improve their ability to detect phishing attacks. However, the rise of AI-powered phishing attacks also raises concerns about the need for better training and awareness among end-users. As phishing attacks become more sophisticated, it’s essential to educate users on how to identify and report suspicious emails.
