The report indicates that 60% of the top 10 funded generative AI companies in Europe and Israel have founders with experience at these tech giants. Google alone accounts for founders of 11.3% of these startups, followed by DeepMind and Meta at 5% and 4.1%, respectively. Furthermore, universities play a crucial role, with 38% of these companies having founders who are or were professors, researchers, or lecturers. Institutions like University College London and the University of Cambridge are notable for producing a significant number of AI founders.
