TechWolf, a Belgian startup, has developed an AI engine that analyzes internal workflow data to map employee skills and interests, aiding managers and recruiters in better talent management. Initially aimed at external recruitment, the company pivoted to internal talent management after realizing the need to identify skills within large organizations. This pivot has proven successful, attracting big customers like GSK, HSBC, and Booking.com. Recently, TechWolf secured $43 million in Series B funding led by Felix Capital, with SAP, ServiceNow, and Workday co-investing for the first time. The company, now valued around $150 million, was founded in 2018 by Andreas De Neve, Jeroen Van Hautte, and Mikaël Wornoo, who were then computer science students. The AI engine integrates with various workplace systems to infer employee skills, providing a comprehensive skills map. This technology addresses a critical gap in large organizations, making talent management more efficient and data-driven.
