Motorola has launched an innovative AI-generated fashion campaign titled “Styled by Motorola,” featuring models in outfits inspired by the brand’s logo. This comes shortly after Toys “R” Us faced backlash for a similar AI-generated campaign. The campaign showcases Motorola’s new Razr 50 folding smartphone and its partnership with Pantone by displaying outfits in six phone colors. The project took four months of research and utilized nine different AI tools, including Krea.ai, Midjourney, and Firefly. Fashion creators Leeloo and Edward Sad contributed to a parallel creator campaign, styling outfits that complement the phones. The campaign was revealed on Motorola’s social channels and at a launch party, with a physical Motorola dress also designed by creative textile studio Scotomalab. Despite the controversy surrounding the use of AI in advertising, Motorola’s campaign aims to blend technology and fashion, pushing the boundaries of creativity.
