As artificial intelligence (AI) adoption continues to surge in businesses, employees are increasingly worried about losing their jobs to automation and the potential inaccuracies of AI systems. A recent study by Gartner reveals that 75% of employees fear AI will make certain jobs obsolete, while 65% are anxious about AI replacing their job. The study also highlights five unique fears employees have about how their company will apply AI, including job displacement, inaccurate AI insights, lack of transparency, reputational damage, and data insecurity. To alleviate these concerns, organizations need to be more transparent about how AI will impact their workforce and provide context and details on what risks and opportunities are influencing their AI policy. Employees are also keen to learn more about AI and be involved in working with the technology, with 87% interested in developing at least one AI-related skill.
