IBM has launched IBM Concert, a framework leveraging generative AI and knowledge graphs to help DevOps teams proactively manage service availability by identifying root causes of issues in real-time. Built on the IBM watsonx platform, IBM Concert aggregates data across IT tools and platforms into a SaaS service, which can be hosted on IBM or AWS cloud platforms or in an on-premises environment. Initially designed for application risk and compliance management, the tool aims to expand into cost management and other use cases. Vikram Murali of IBM highlights the platform’s lightweight data collection approach, offering a comprehensive view of complex IT environments.

IBM Concert is a part of IBM’s broader AI strategy, incorporating Granite LLMs with parameters ranging from 3B to 34B, optimized for various coding tasks. These models power tools like watsonx Code Assistant, enhancing code synthesis and translation in multiple programming languages. As AI-driven development accelerates, DevOps teams will increasingly depend on AI-infused platforms to manage burgeoning code bases. The integration of AI in DevOps is set to transform not just code writing but also its management, ensuring efficiency and reliability in the face of growing complexity.
