Google’s upcoming Pixel phones are set to include new AI-driven features such as “Pixel Screenshots,” enabling users to save and process useful details from their screenshots. Unlike Microsoft’s controversial Recall tool, which captures user activity automatically, Google’s feature will only process screenshots taken manually, reducing privacy concerns. The feature will allow users to search through their screenshots by summarizing or answering questions about the information in them. Users can enable or disable this AI processing at any time, adding a layer of control over their data. Metadata like links, app names, and timestamps will be saved to make searching for specific images easier. Additionally, Google Photos will get similar AI capabilities to enhance photo search. Other AI features in development include “Add Me,” which allows users to add people to group photos, and a Studio tool for generating custom stickers and images. These innovations aim to offer more personalized and efficient user experiences.
