WhatsApp is developing a new AI feature that will let users create personalized avatars of themselves for use in various imagined settings. This feature, spotted in WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.24.14.7 by WABetaInfo, is set to utilize user-supplied images, text prompts, and Meta’s AI Llama model to generate these avatars. Users will be able to envision themselves in any setting, from a forest to outer space, and generate these avatars by typing specific prompts in WhatsApp chats. To initiate the process, users will need to take photos of themselves, which will train Meta AI to produce images that resemble them. The feature will be optional and will require manual activation through WhatsApp settings. Reference images can be deleted at any time through the Meta AI settings, ensuring user control over their data. This innovation aims to enhance user experience by providing a fun and interactive tool for creating unique, customized avatars.
