AI Training Initiative for University Lecturers

Huawei and UNESCO are joining forces to enhance artificial intelligence (AI) education in Eastern Africa. This collaboration aims to equip university lecturers with the knowledge and skills necessary to introduce AI concepts to their students. The program focuses primarily on Kenya but will extend its reach to other Eastern African countries through an online platform.

Key Details of the Training Program

  • Two-week intensive training from August 12-23
  • Covers AI fundamentals, including machine learning and deep learning
  • Introduces Huawei’s Atlas AI computing platform and MindSpore framework
  • Participants must be proficient in at least one programming language
  • Certification awarded upon successful completion of final test
