Overview of the Initiative
Nvidia and Foxconn are collaborating to create Taiwan’s most powerful supercomputer, the Hon Hai Kaohsiung Super Computing Center. This facility will utilize Nvidia’s Blackwell graphics processing unit (GPU) architecture and the GB200 NVL72 platform. The supercomputer aims to achieve over 90 exaflops of AI performance, making it a key player in Taiwan’s tech landscape.
Key Features and Goals
- The supercomputer will consist of 64 racks and 4,608 Tensor Core GPUs.
- It is expected to significantly advance cancer research, language model development, and smart city technologies.
- Construction has already begun, with the first phase set to be operational by mid-2025 and full deployment by 2026.
