Lenovo India is poised to dominate the Indian consumer PC market this financial year, thanks to its artificial intelligence (AI)-powered PCs and gaming devices. The company expects 20% of the PC consumer market to be powered by AI by the end of this year. Ashish Sikka, director and category head at Lenovo India, attributes this growth to the host of benefits AI-enabled PCs offer over normal PCs, including hyper-personalization, improved security, and increased efficiency. With its AI PCs witnessing higher demand than anticipated, Lenovo is confident that adoption will accelerate in the latter half of the year as more OEMs launch similar devices. Moreover, its gaming portfolio is expected to drive significant growth, with the company aiming to grow its gaming business twofold of the market growth in the current financial year. Lenovo’s focus on AI and gaming is a strategic move, as the Indian PC market is expected to continue growing, with 3.07 million units shipped in the first quarter of 2024. Overall, Lenovo’s commitment to innovation and its willingness to invest in emerging technologies like AI position it well for success in the Indian market.
