The latest research by Stratio BD predicts that generative AI (Gen-AI) will become the primary source of insight for enterprise-wide decision-making by 2025. The study reveals that 75% of IT decision-makers plan to increase their use of Gen-AI tools within the next 12 months, with 25% aiming to integrate it into their core business processes within the next six months. Despite concerns over data accuracy and security, the enthusiasm for Gen-AI is palpable, with 75% of tech leaders excited about its potential. However, the study also highlights the disconnect between organisational understanding of Gen-AI and its actual implementation, with only 29% of respondents reporting that Gen-AI has been integrated into their core processes.

In my opinion, the study’s findings underscore the transformative potential of Gen-AI in revolutionising enterprise decision-making. The technology’s ability to enhance business results, particularly in terms of time efficiency, is undeniable. However, it’s crucial that concerns over security and accuracy are addressed to ensure the precision and security of Gen-AI-generated data. As the CEO of Stratio BD aptly puts it, “The only obstacle that remains for business leaders when it comes to capitalising on the Gen-AI boom is the boundaries of their collective imaginations.”
