Thanks to partnerships with the estates of legendary stars like Judy Garland, James Dean, Burt Reynolds, and Sir Laurence Olivier, their iconic voices can now be enjoyed on the new Reader App by ElevenLabs. The app allows users to listen to any digital text, transforming articles, PDFs, eBooks, and more into emotionally rich, context-aware voiceovers. Liza Minnelli, daughter of Judy Garland, expressed excitement over her mother’s voice being accessible to millions. These voices are exclusively available for individual streaming on the app and are not part of the broader Voice Library for content creation.

The collaboration with the estates ensures the legacies of these stars live on, offering fans a chance to experience classic works like “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” and Sherlock Holmes stories narrated by these legendary actors. ElevenLabs’ Head of Partnerships, Dustin Blank, emphasized the honor of featuring such celebrated voices, aligning with their mission to make content accessible in any language and voice. Tina Xavie, CMO of CMG Worldwide, praised the thoughtful approach of ElevenLabs and the exciting new opportunities it provides for the estates’ clients. This initiative marks a significant step in making high-quality, accessible content available to a global audience.
